Tenuta di Castellaro calls the tiny, 2000 square metre island of Lipari, just off the coast of Sicily, home. Wanting to create a pure expression of the volcanic territory of Aeolian Islands, winemakers Massimo Lentsch and Stefania Frattolillo made their dream into a reality in 2005. Tenuta di Castellaro is now one of Lipari's most celebrated wineries. Bianco Pomice 2022 is made from a blend of 60% Malvasia and 40% Carricante - exhibiting all the salty minerality we love in these grape varieties. A nose of ripe lemon, grapaefruit and elderflower moves to a bright, refreshing palate with further notes of seasalt, lemon and stone. A great pair with shellfish or enjoyed as an aperitif.
